Ostracods from Cherny Anuy formation of Gorny Altay

Cherny Anuy formation of Gorny Altay is new a przhidoli stage of Upper Silurian. However, opinion exist about its belonging to Lochkov stage of Lower Devonian. The article contains data of repeated examination of ostracods from Cherny Anuy stratotype. The character of development of leading groups (beyrichiids, ctenoloculinids) of ostracods in Silurian and Devonian has been analysed. Systematic belonging of Cherny Anuy species and their stratigraphic distribution has been specified. The conclusion about Devonian age of Cherny Anuy ostracode complex is made.
