Genetic types of the Paleozoic of sedimentary basins in the structures of the Donetsk folded structure (Eastern Donbass)

Three types of sedimentary basins are distinguished in the Paleozoic structures of the Eastern Donbass. The first type of the basins is associated with the activization of the Pre­-Donetsky rift in the Early Devonian, spreading of tectonic structures, formation of fault zones and formation of the above-­rift molasses trough. The second type of basins belongs to the stage of the rift compression in the Carboniferous, collision of tectonic blocks and formation of the compensation flysch trough. The pressure of huge masses of flysch sediments led to subsidence of the relatively thin lower crust is and formation of inherited and superimposed third type depression with carbonaceous-­carbonate­-terrigenous rock formations. Donbass formation related to the evolution of rift processes due to extension, compression, collision, and formation of shift compensation superimposed flexure with appropriate magmatic and mineragenous specialization.
