Gold ore districts and ore clusters of the Aldanian metallogenic province

The Aldan Shield is a unique ore­-bearing block of the earth’s crust, both in terms of the number and scale of discovered gold deposits, as well as in the prospects for discovering new objects that were not discovered earlier. However, due to intensive long-­term gold mining, the raw material base of placer and ore gold, concentrated in known shield objects, is seriously depleted. The work carried out within the framework of the creation of the third generation of the State Geological Map­1000/3 and GDP­200, as well as exploratory work performed by the GU GGP RS (Y) “Yakutskgeologia” with the participation of VSEGEI on the local sites in the ore districts, showed their considerable prospects for identification of new gold deposits, both traditional for the Aldan Shield, and new geological-­industrial types (gold deposit Morozkinskoye).
