The sixth decade of the Interdepartmental Stratigraphic Committee of Russia
Paper sets out in detail the main results of the Interdepartmental Stratigraphic Committee of the USSR (Russia since 1992) activity in 2006–2015, its role in improving stratigraphic survey of the country, research in the field of regional, general, and theoretical stratigraphy, updating the framework for the State Geological Maps at different scales, International and General Stratigraphic Charts. Major tasks of the Committee in modern conditions are formulated.
