The aim of the Conference is to discuss the current state and development prospects of using remote sensing methods in geological studies.
Results of research in the following areas will be presented and discussed during the Conference:
1. GIS technologies of processing and utilization of the Earth’s remote sensing data (RSD) in geological mapping
2. New processing and utilization technologies of RSD in geological exploration
3. Methods of using RSD in monitoring of hazardous geological processes
The conference will include oral and poster presentations. Duration of oral presentations is 15 min.
2 March 2014 – Completion of the pre-registration of participants
21 March 2014 – Deadline for abstracts submission and pre-payment of the registration fee
10 April 2014 – Distribution of the Conference program in electronic form
Registration fee amounts to 6,000 roubles including VAT and covers the costs for preparing the conference materials, lunches, coffee breaks, ice-breaker dinner and excursion program.
Graduate and undergraduate students may participate in the scientific program of the Conference for free.

We recommend the following hotels for the conference days:
Excursions to the Center of Isotopic Research of FGUP "VSEGEI", F.N. Chernyshev Central Geological Museum, as well as sightseeing tours of St. Petersburg and its suburbs will be organized for the Conference participants.
All foreigners have to get visas to Russia.
We will arrange official invitations (visa support) for you to apply for visas. For this purpose please fill out this form (VISA_Russia_example.doc) and email to RSGH-SPB2014@vsegei.ru. Photocopy of your passport. Passport must be valid for 3 months after the scheduled departure from Russia.
Deadlines for personal data submission:

It takes 30 days to arrange visa support at the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the citizens of these countries.
Earlier data submission is greatly appreciated.

Visa support issued by VSEGEI is valid for obtaining visas.
